The Garden Counseling was created with a vision. Our vision is to sow the seeds for a safe and restful place where clients can cultivate growth and heal. The Garden’s heartbeat is to walk with each client on their individual goals of healing and wholeness. While we wholeheartedly accept and help all clients with different values and faith backgrounds, The Garden Counseling is a Christian based counseling center that values Christ as the cornerstone and understands that God’s love is transformational to bring darkness to light. The Garden is committed to seeing the whole person, including: physical, mental, spiritual, social, and emotional well-being. Our goals for each one is to empower them with the right tools to release feelings of shame, anger, or worthlessness to transform their lives.
Meet Stephanie, M.A

Stephanie has a heart for meeting people where they are by seeing them holistically. She believes that empathy and safety from a counselor are the cornerstones to successful healing. Her approach is to be empathetically direct and cultivate insight into their healing journey. This includes educating on family systems, relationships, boundaries, and trauma responses. The counseling relationship is a team effort that builds trust and support, therefore she works with each client to become more self-aware, encouraged, and motivated to take the reins and proactively respond to negative situations. Her background includes working with Human Trafficking Survivors, substance abuse, narcissistic abuse recovery, anxiety, depression, trauma, and childhood attachment. She graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Specialization in Clinical Mental Health.
In her free time, Stephanie loves to sing on her church worship team, swing dance, laugh, cook, travel, take pictures, and play board games with friends and family.
She looks forward to working with people motivated to find hope and healing!
